Hello my dearest wine lovers.

Our first release consists of an amazing balance of 3 red and 3 white wines from a small region in the North East of Italy called Friuli Venezia Giulia, also fondly known as “White Wine Paradise”

.

The region is very well known for its cultivation of the highest number of autochthonous grapes in Italy. Friuli grows over 30 different grape varieties including international assortments such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot; as well as local varieties like Refosco dal Penduncolo rosso, Friulano, Ribolla gialla ( one of my favorites) and Verduzzo. Friulano is the most well- known and important variety, producing crisp, floral wines that develop notes of nuts and fennel as it ages.

The best- known local red wine variety is the Refosco Dal Peduncolo Rosso. Refosco is known for producing wines of considerable weight and power. The wines have impressive fruit intensity laced with minerals. It is noted for its high acidity with blueberry and blackberry notes.

Our  first release starts with Spumante Extra Dry. This sparkling wine is served as famous ‘Italian aperitivo” because it is perfect as a pre-dinner drink. It is meant to open the palate and gives you a chance to socialize, relax and nibble as dinner approaches.You can enjoy this refreshing wine on a hot summer day while you catch up with friends at home before heading out for a night out.

 

Chardonnay Ca’ del Borgo is ideal with light meals like salads, cheese and prosciutto. Enjoy this glass of wine on a nice afternoon relaxing at home.

 

Bianco di Valpanera, represents one of the best blends of white wines in Friuli. This wine comprises a great balance of Chardonnay, Sauvignon, and Verduzzo friuliano. This harmonious wine is excellent with appetizers, fish and poultry.

 

Merlot Ca’ del Borgo. This wine signifies elegance and fruitiness, which is reminiscent of the maraca cherry. You can enjoy this wine with some risotto with zucchini. It is also great with poultry and other pasta dishes.

 

Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso. This wine exemplifies a signature of excellence; the hidden gem of Valpanera winery. The intense ruby red color reflects fruity and elegant scents of blackberry, raspberry and brushwood. This amazing wine is excellent with red meat dishes, game, roast and with fish like salmon or snapper.

 

Rosso di Valpanera is another bestseller and international award winning wine. It is a great blend of Refosco, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. After aging in Slovenian oak barrels, the bouquet releases spicy intense pepper and cinnamon scents. It is best consumed after 1 to 5 years of bottling and can be served with any meat like pork chops, meat skewers, ribs or any steak.
